Eric Gratz is entering his fourth season as concertmaster of the San Antonio Symphony. His playing has been described as “eloquent” and “spellbinding . . . a disciplined musician beyond his years” (Dallas Morning News/San Antonio Express News). A seasoned soloist and chamber musician, his performances have taken him throughout the U.S., as well as to Canada, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, and China, appearing with members of leading orchestras and chamber ensembles.
At 17, Mr. Gratz made his solo debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall, as well as a recital debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. His subsequent solo appearances include the San Antonio Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, Rice University Campanile Orchestra, and the Lexington Bach Festival Orchestra.
